EXCELLENT Based on 35 reviews Posted on Google Maggie DoustTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Myself and my friend Sharon spent 2 nights, 3 days in Sandpiper Cottage, Broadstairs, last weekend . 16th August. It was a wonderful week. Great communication from the hosts from the start, easy booking, and easy to find and access. Lots of very useful information was given, including to park on the Esplanade and walk down, 5 minute walk. You can also park right by the cottages, if you have lots to unload. We didn't, so simply walked down from the Esplanade, very close. The cottage was immaculate, pretty, quirky and full of lovely little touches from the hosts. They seemed to have thought of everything. Kitchen was very well equipped, bathrooms and bedrooms spotless and very comfortable beds. It was an absolute delight to stay here and made our mini break even better. The stairs in this cottage are challenging, however we knew that in advance, as it's in the literature online. But we found that added to the character of the place. Sharon and I would highly recommend Sandpiper Cottage and these hosts. Excellent service and big shout out to Ryan for getting us in !. He was a great help. 100 % recommend and we will definitely back. Thank you 😊Posted on Google Taylor GreenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the most wonderful stay at Fagins Den. Such a lovely, charming cottage in an amazing location so close to the sea. The service and communication from the hosts was excellent throughout our stay.Posted on Google Lamorna PeoplesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I stayed at Fagin's Den in Broadstairs in April 2025. We had a wonderful time in Beverley and Phil's amazing fisherman's cottage which is full of delightful Dickensian details. There are prints on the walls of various characters from Dickens' novels and the rooms are full of quirky and fascinating objects from the Victorian period. So much thought has gone into making this a home which anyone will love, but if you're a Dickens fan, you will adore! It's a short stroll to the sea front and to the Charles Dickens Museum and there are lots of places to eat a 5 minute walk away. Beverley and Phil also went the extra mile and set up a treasure hunt for us - Dickens themed! - with clues to solve. This led us up and down and all around the cottage, searching through Dickens' novels, weighing a bag of meal in the kitchen, hunting for hidden hideaways. It was great fun! For a holiday home with a difference, you couldn't do better than the fabulous Fagin's Den in charming Broadstairs!Posted on Google robertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Beautiful traditional cottage just moments away from the bars, restaurants, cafes. Right on the seafront too! Thank you to Beverley for making the booking and checking in process seamless from the start. We will be back!Posted on Google Kat ClaytonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I stayed at Fagins den with my daughters, they had so much fun playing the scavenger hunt and dressing up. Games are provided aswell. It was quiet at night time, we went for a evening walk along the beach that is 3 minutes away. It was beautiful. The beds were comfy and it really felt like we were in fagins den. I would recommend 100% for a little short but very satisfying holiday in beautiful Broadstairs 😍Posted on Google Paul GisbyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been lucky enough to stay in a number of the lovely holiday cottages run by Beverley and Phil in Broadstairs. Each of them is perfectly located for the main town, seafront and beach. The cottages are all spotlessly clean and comfortable with first class customer service every time I have stayed. Very much looking forward to my next visit in this lovely traditional seaside town.Posted on Google sandy belcherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing cosy cottage in the heart of the town and so close to the beach bars and restaurants. Very clean and there's everything you need for a weekend away or longer. Wonderful helpful hosts with lots of knowledge of the local areas. Looking to book again very soon.Posted on Google van HoogenboomTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. "My recent stay at Barnaby's Lodge was just fantastic. The cottage was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and I had everything I needed for a chilled-out getaway. The location was perfect, seconds from the beach, within walking distance to all the high-end eateries and bars. Beverley, Phil and their furry helper Layla were so welcoming and communication with them was quick and easy, making my break even better. What is there not to love? I will return again soon!Posted on Google Charlotte SalamanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really lovely stay at this great little cottage. Will definitely be back. Very happy with service from start to finish from Beverley and Phil. Thanks 10/10!Posted on Google Oliver PickupTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Quirky, quaint, and superbly located, Fagin's Den is like nowhere you have stayed before. My wife and I stayed for two nights, over a birthday weekend in September, with our two young children and family dog. We all had a great time. Free parking was easy, Stone Bay is a stone's throw away, and it's less than a five-minute walk to central Broadstairs. The escape-room game – which included dressing up – was challenging fun for us all. Would highly recommend. The beds are not the comfiest, and the stairs quite steep, but they were minor downsides.
